NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2014-15 Men’s and Women’s Basketball conference schedules on Thursday as well as the dates and times for all games of the 2015 Sun Belt Conference Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships in New Orleans, La.

Conference play begins on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 with five men’s and women’s basketball doubleheaders scheduled. Tip-off times for men’s and women’s contests are the responsibility of the host institution to determine. For the 2014-15 season only, all games in the conference will be played as men’s and women’s basketball double headers. The change in format was made to accommodate a 20-game conference schedule and a conference play start date after December 25.

The 2015 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Championship tips-off on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 with game one of the women’s tournament at 11:30 a.m. (CT). The women’s basketball championship game is set for a 7 p.m. (CT) tip-off on Saturday, March 14. The men’s tournament begins on Thursday, March 12 at 5 p.m. (CT) with the championship game slated for Selection Sunday (March 15) and a 12 p.m. (CT) tip. The men’s championship game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 and all games of the men’s and women’s tournaments will be nationally broadcasted by ESPN3.

Both the men’s and women’s championship tournaments will take place at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, La. The top eight teams in the standings will advance to the championship tournaments with the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds on the men’s side earning byes to the semifinals and the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds earning byes to the quarterfinal rounds.
