2014-15 Commissioner's List | 2014-15 Academic Honor Roll
NEW ORLEANS - More than 1,700 Sun Belt Conference student-athletes were named to the 2014-15 Commissioner's List and Academic Honor Roll as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. The list is comprised of 825 student-athletes on the Commissioner's List and 917 student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll list.
The Commissioner's List honors student-athletes who have maintained a 3.5 grade point average or better during the 2014-15 academic year while the Academic Honor Roll honors those student-athletes who have maintained a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49 for the academic year.
Appalachian State University had the highest number of honorees with 201 student-athletes between the two lists (114 on the Commissioner's List and 87 on the Academic Honor Roll). The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Troy University had the second most number of student-athletes on the lists with 183 total. The Cajuns placed 104 on the Commissioner's List and 79 on the Academic Honor while Troy placed 97 on the Commissioner's List and 86 on the Academic Honor Roll.
Women's Track & Field and Cross Country had the highest number of student-athletes on the Commissioner's List with 131 followed by Women's Soccer which had 118. Football led all sports for the Academic Honor Roll as 204 student-athletes were named to that list. Baseball was second to football with 124 on the Academic Honor Roll.
Student-athletes who were named to both lists will be honored at each sports respective Sun Belt Championship.
