Appalachian State 37, Idaho 19
BOONE, N.C. (AP) Taylor Lamb threw for 220 yards and rushed for one touchdown, Jalin Moore had 114 yards rushing and a score, and Appalachian State beat Idaho 37-19 on Saturday.

Appalachian State broke it open with 13 unanswered points in the third quarter, highlighted by freshman Clifton Duck's 44-yard pick-6 on an overthrown pass. Moore extended the Mountaineers' lead to 30-9 lead when he powered up the middle for a 5-yard score.

Backup J.P. Caruso threw his first touchdown pass of the season for Appalachian State (5-2, 3-0 Sun Belt Conference) late in the fourth. Duck had two interceptions.

Matt Linehan went 26 of 41 for 294 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions for Idaho (4-4, 2-2).

The Vandals scored their first touchdown with 4 seconds remaining when Trent Cowan scored on an 8yard grab. It was the first TD allowed by Appalachian State since Sept. 24.

Georgia State 31, UT Martin 6
ATLANTA (AP) Marterious Allen and B.J. Clay scored touchdowns on defense within 10 seconds of each other in the third quarter and Georgia State broke away for a 31-6 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Saturday.

Allen returned a fumble 23 yards for a score with 4:51 left in the quarter before Clay, who had two interceptions, picked off Gunnar Holcombe and returned the ball for a 38-yard score.

The Panthers (2-5) led 10-3 at halftime on Aaron Winchester's 7-yard pass to Glenn Smith and Rogier ten Lohuis' 23-yard field goal. Darius Stubbs' 35-yard run accounted for the Panthers' other points.

The six points scored by UTM (4-4) were the fewest given up by Georgia State in the program's six years.

The Skyhawks, coming in with the Ohio Valley Conference's top scoring offense at 40.6 points per game, managed only a pair of Mitch Mersman field goals while surrendering four turnovers.

UL Lafayette 27, Texas State 3
SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) Elijah McGuire ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns to lead Louisiana-Lafayette to a 27-3 win over Texas State on Saturday night.

McGuire had 20 carries and punched in his touchdowns from the 4 in the second quarter and from the 1 midway through the third. Anthony Jennings completed 18 of his 22 passes for 156 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown throw to Keenan Barnes, while Stevie Artigue had 36- and 42-yard field goals.

The win snapped a three-game skid for Louisiana-Lafayette (3-4, 2-2 Sun Belt).

Texas State (2-5, 0-3) got a 29-yard field goal from Marcus Ripley to cap the game's 12-play, 63-yard opening drive before being held scoreless the rest of the way as Louisiana-Lafayette piled up 392 total yards while holding the Bobcats to 79 yards rushing and 221 overall.

Tyler Jones was 20 of 28 for 142 yards passing to lead the Bobcats.

Georgia Southern 22, New Mexico State 19
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) Kevin Ellison threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns as Georgia Southern beat New Mexico State 22-19 on Saturday night to snap a three-game losing streak.

Younghoe Koo, who made three field goals, has a school-record 13 straight for the season.

Georgia Southern picked up its first win on the final leg of a four-game road swing.

Trailing 12-9, Ellison hit Matt Breida from the 9 on the first play in the fourth to give the Eagles (4-3, 3-1 Sun Belt Conference) a 15-12 lead. On their next possession Ellison, who had 117 rushing and 101 passing yards, threw a screen pass to Wesley Fields who raced to the end zone from the 42 to go ahead 22-12.

New Mexico State's (2-5, 1-3) Tyler Rogers, who threw for 250 yards, found Johnathan Boone in the end zone on a 32-yard pass play for the final score with 1:19 remaining. Georgia Southern recovered the ensuing onside kick.

New Mexico 59, UL Monroe 17
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) Jadon Boatright returned an interception 40 yards for a score 76 seconds into the game, and New Mexico added three more first-quarter touchdowns on Saturday in a 59-17 win over UL Monroe.

That was exactly the way the Lobos wanted to get the game started.

''We definitely we need turnovers,'' said Boatright of his first career interception. ''We've been struggling turnover-wise so that definitely helped us out, especially at the beginning of the game, starting off the game with a pick-6 and getting us already up 7-0. That helped us a lot. As soon as I picked it, I saw all green; I knew I was going back with it.''

Tyrone Owens finished with 171 yards rushing on nine carries, including an 83-yard scoring run, as New Mexico (4-3) piled up 476 yards on the ground.

The Lobos got touchdowns from eight different players, with Elijah Lilly returning a kickoff 93 yards for a score to open the second half.

The lone bright spot of sorts for the Warhawks (2-5) came from reserve quarterback Caleb Evens, who completed 12 of 15 passes for 120 and one score.

But with three other runners topping 65 yards, New Mexico's three lost fumbles were not a factor.

The Lobos only completed seven passes - all to different receivers - for 146 yards; their third-best total of the season.

New Mexico's defense finished with five sacks and limited the Warhawks to 235 total yards.
