  • Troy takes on Belmont on Wednesday as the Bruins are one of five Trojan opponents that qualified for the NCAA tournament in 2015-16.
  • Troy’s Caitlyn Ramirez set the Troy Division I single-game record with 20 rebounds against Auburn last week while recording her fourth double-double of her career.
  • Arkansas State’s Brian Boyer is one win shy of 300 for his career and will look to achieve that mark on Wednesday when the Red Wolves face Austin Peay.
  • Georgia Southern is 2-0 for the first time since the 2008-09 season. Last time out the Eagles eclipsed the century mark for the first time since the 1998-99 season.
  • UL Lafayette’s Simone Fields took home Player of the Week honors after the first weekend of competition. Fields led the Cajuns to a come-from-behind victory over in-state rival, McNeese State, on Saturday. She poured in 28 points and 13 rebounds in the 77-70 win.
  • UT Arlington’s Cierra Johnson also had a great opener as the junior tallied seven steals in a win over UTSA. The seven steals tied her career record and is the third-most in a single game in UTA history. She also added eight rebounds and 16 points.
  • Georgia Southern’s Patrice Butler poured in a couple of double-digit scoring games last week averaging 18 points. She scored 22 in a win over NC A&T and 14 in 20 minutes of action against Thomas University.
  • ULM’s Stephanie Ratliff also averaged 18 points per game last week as the Warhawks went 1-1 to open the season before dropping last night’s contest.
  • Appalachian State’s Q. Murray made her debut for the Mountaineers last week and averaged 12.5 points per game as APP went 1-1 to open the season. She added five steals in the win over Gardner-Webb.
