FOLEY, Ala. – Second-seeded Coastal Carolina used two early second-half goals to defeat No. 3 Little Rock 2-0 and advance to Sunday's championship match at 1 p.m. (CT) at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala.

It will be the Chanticleers first championship match appearance as the team joined the Sun Belt beginning this season. CCU (12-5-3) will face the winner of Friday's second semifinal between top-seeded South Alabama and No. 4 Appalachian State.

For the Trojans, a record-breaking season comes to an end. The Trojans end their season after breaking the program record for wins in a season with 12 and conference wins in a season with six. The Trojans earned their highest-ever seed in the women's soccer championship and set program single-season records for goals against average (0.84).

After a scoreless first-half, the Chanticleers got their first goal in the 50th minute on a long free kick from Kylie Bostick that stayed airborne longer than Trojan goalkeeper Sara Small anticipated and floated above her into the net.

Four minutes later, Coastal made it 2-0 on a goal from Amber Adams to seal the win. CCU's Kayla Christian made a perfect cross from the left side to the awaiting Adams who quickly pushed the ball past Small. The goal gave Adams four points in the first two matches as she added two assists in Wednesday's opener against Arkansas State.

Neither team was able to score in the first half, though Coastal had the best opportunity. Just two minutes in, a Chanticleers corner kick was headed by Ambria Shutts toward goal. But Little Rock had a defender in the right place to clear the header off the goal line to preserve the 0-0 score.

The Trojans outshot the Chanticleers 15-9 over the course of the game, though Coastal had five shots on goal to Little Rock's four. Small had two saves in 68 minutes for the Trojans, and Sara Cavanagh played the final 22 minutes of the game but was not tested with a save.

The shutout was Coastal's 12th of the season and gave keeper Becca Austin her seventh as she improved to 10-4-3 on the season.

Quin Wilkes had the most shots for Little Rock with four. Arola Aparicio and Jaclyn Purvine had two shots apiece. Adams, Christian and Shutts led the Chants with two shots apiece.
