Mann-Fix, Bouchey Claim Community Coffee Weekly Honors
NEW ORLEANS - Appalachian State's Tanner Mann-Fix and UL Monroe's Brayden Bouchey were named this week's Sun Belt Community Coffee Student-Athletes of the Week.

Mann-Fix was named the Community Coffee Student-Athlete of the Week while Bouchey was named the Community Coffee Pitcher of the Week. Mann-Fix hit .467 with a 1.133 slugging percentage in four games last week to lead the Mountaineers to a 2-2 record over that span. Mann-Fix had an incredible series-opening doubleheader vs. Arkansas State, going 6-for-8 with two doubles, a triple, two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored over the course of the twinbill. For the week, Mann-Fix reached base 10 times in four games and amassed 17 total bases.

The series win by the Mountaineers its third-straight Sun Belt Conference home series win. Saturday's walk-off win was the seventh walk-off in the last 14 games for the Mountaineers. They are 4-3 in those contests.

For the second time this season Bouchey tallied 12 strikeouts as he tossed six strong innings in the Warhawks 2-1 win over Georgia Southern on Saturday. During is outing, Bouchey surrendered just one hit and allowed one unearned run came to score. The quality start by Bouchey was his fifth of the season as he has recorded a quality start in all four starts at home this season.

South Alabama's Kevin Hill moved into the top ten of the Sun Belt's career strikeouts list with 298. He ties former South Alabama standout Jon Lieber. Hill's 298 strikeouts also ties him for fourth all-time at USA, also with Lieber.

Three Sun Belt teams rank in the top 100 of the NCAA RPI. UL Lafayette ranks as the highest at No. 16, followed by South Alabama at No. 36. Troy is the only other team ranked in the top 100 at No. 83. Four other Sun Belt teams rank between 100 and 125. All but two teams rank in the top 160 of the NCAA RPI.

Highlighted by an other-worldly performance in Friday’s doubleheader vs. Arkansas State, Mann-Fix hit .467 with a 1.133 slugging percentage in four games last week … after going 1-for-3 with a HBP in the mid-week contest vs. Wake Forest, Mann-Fix had an incredible series-opening doubleheader vs. Arkansas State, going 6-for-8 with two doubles, a triple, two home runs, three RBI and four runs scored over the course of the twinbill … he went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a home run in the opener … he tripled and homered in his first two at-bats in the nightcap, making him 6-for-6 for the day before he went hitless in his final two official ABs … for the week, Mann-Fix reached base 10 times in four games and amassed 17 total bases.

AROUND THE SUN BELT CONFERENCE

  • Community Coffee is the official coffee of the Sun Belt Conference. They are sponsoring this season’s baseball student-athlete and pitcher of the week awards as well as the Most Outstanding Player award at the tournament.
  • South Alabama's Kevin Hill moved into a tie for fourth place on the South Alabama all-time strikeouts list with 298 career strikeouts. His total ties him with former South Alabama and Major League standout Jon Lieber. Hill also moved into the top ten in the Sun Belt strikeouts list.
  • Appalachian State won its third-straight Sun Belt Conference home series by taking 2-of-3 games from Arkansas State. Seven of Appalachian State's last 14 Sun Belt games have been decided in walkoff fashion. The Mountaineers are 4-3 in those contests.
  • ULM will begin a busy five-game, six-day stretch as they host Nicholls State on Tuesday night at Warhawk Field... First pitch between the Warhawks and Colonels is slated for 6 p.m.
  • Arkansas State ran its winning streak to six games with the win over UAPB and Appalachian State in the first game of Friday’s doubleheader before losing game two. The six-game win streak was longest since 2014 and tied for the longest during the Tommy Raffo era at A-State.
  • Texas State threw 10 strikeouts twice last week: once against Texas and once against Troy. The Bobcats rank second in the league in total strikeouts with 340.
  • Three Sun Belt teams rank in the top 100 of the NCAA RPI. UL Lafayette ranks as the highest at No. 16, followed by South Alabama at No. 36. Troy is the only other team ranked in the top 100 at No. 83. Four other Sun Belt teams rank between 100 and 125. All but two teams rank in the top 160 of the NCAA RPI.
