NEW ORLEANS – Texas State's trio of Aaron George, De'Marcus Porter and Kaylee Krenek highlight this week's Sun Belt Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athletes of the Week as the league office announced the final winners of the outdoor track and field awards on Wednesday.

George, a junior, earned the Men's Field Student-Athlete of the Week honor after posting the country's second-best long jump this past weekend at the Texas State Bobcat Classic. George's leap of 7.99m (26'2.75") was a new career best and is tops in the Sun Belt this season. In addition to the long jump, George also helped lead the Bobcats to the top spot in the SBC and a school-record-breaking time in the 4x100-meter relay (40.05) and ran a career best in the 200m (21.29).

Porter ran career-best times in three separate races. He clocked the fastest time in the Sun Belt in the 200-meter dash, at 21-flat. He led the men’s 4x100-meter relay team to the top spot in the Sun Belt, a meet victory, and a school-record 40.05. Finally, he competed in a third event, running the 100-meter dash in 10.51.
