Appalachian State, Arkansas State to play Nationally-Televised Non-Conference Games
NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced the game times and television selections for two football non-conference games hosted by Appalachian State and Arkansas State.
The Mountaineers host Miami (Fla.) on Saturday, Sept. 17 for an 11 a.m. CT game that will be televised on ESPN or ESPN2. The Red Wolves host Toledo at 8 p.m. CT on Sept. 2 in a nationally-televised ESPNU contest.
Appalachian State’s game will mark the first time in league history a Sun Belt Conference team will play on ESPN or ESPN2 at home on a Saturday. The final network selection will be made following the conclusion of all games on Sept. 10.
All other television selections for the first three weeks of the season will be announced at a later date. All games after week four will be subject to television selections 12 days prior to game day. This is the fourth consecutive year that every Sun Belt Conference home football game will be on an ESPN platform.
