Community Coffee Player of the Week
Travis Swaggerty (South Alabama, Sophomore, OF)
Swaggerty batted .438 with two home runs, seven RBI, eight runs scored and three stolen bases while posting a .591 on-base percentage and .812 slugging percentage in four games last week. He hit safely in three of four contests, recording multiple hits each game, and drove in at least one run in every game. He homered in Tuesday’s win at Alabama State, followed by a two-hit performance in the series opener with Georgia State in which he reached base in all five plate appearances after also drawing three walks. Swaggerty followed that performance with three hits, including a grand slam, and tied a career high with four RBI in a game-two win over GSU. He drove in one run, drew three walks and stole two bases in the series finale.
Community Coffee Pitcher of the Week
Alex Cunningham (Coastal Carolina, Senior, RHP)
Pitched his first career complete-game shutout and second career complete game … Cunningham's performance was pressure packed as the Chants only managed three hits thru six and did not score until the 7th. Had a perfect game until allowing a one-out walk in the seventh. In the eighth, allowed a one-out walk, followed by his lone hit (a single to second) before getting a strikeout and fly out. Went 1-2-3 in the ninth with two strikeouts. Faced 30 total batters, 3-over the minimum. Had strikeout in seven of the nine innings, including two in the ninth.
