Sun Belt announces Community Coffee Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week

Community Coffee Player of the Week

Brendan Donovan (South Alabama, Sophomore, IF/OF)
Donovan batted .429 (9-for-21) with a triple, two home runs, six RBI, six runs scored and one stolen base while posting a .480 on-base percentage and .810 slugging percentage in five games last week. Donovan hit safely in all five games, and recorded multiple hits in four of those contests. He drove in at least one run in four of five games, including a pair of multi-RBI performances.

Community Coffee Pitcher of the Week

Matt Peacock (South Alabama, RS-Senior, RHP)
Peacock went 1-0 with one save in two relief appearances last week. The right-hander struck out four and allowed two unearned runs on one hit in 2 1/3 innings to record his fifth save of the season in Tuesday’s win against No. 11 Mississippi State. Peacock earned his first career win on Sunday at Arkansas State, and struck out a career-high five batters against one walk and allowed three hits in five scoreless innings.
