UPDATE: Irma causes a relocation and two cancellations

NEW ORLEANS – Hurricane Irma’s projected path to Florida and the southeastern U.S. has caused a cancellation of two football games and the relocation of another.

The cancellation of the Miami at Arkansas State game was announced Wednesday morning.  Wednesday’s news also saw the announcement that Georgia Southern would be moving its home game against New Hampshire to Birmingham, Ala.  The game will be played at Legion Field at 3 p.m. CT.

After originally rescheduling the game time for ULM’s contest at Florida State for an 11 a.m. CT kickoff on Saturday, FSU officials cancelled the game late Thursday evening.
