Texas State Wins Women's Soccer Regular Season Title on Sunday

Little Rock 1, Georgia Southern 0
Arola Aparicio Gili delivered the winning strike in the 85th minute to seal the 1-0 victory for the Trojans over a scrappy Georgia Southern side. This win was the team's 12th of the season, which ties a Little Rock record for most wins in a season. The Trojans also grabbed their sixth consecutive win and fourth consecutive clean sheet, as the team has only conceded two goals in their last eight games. Texas State's win gives the Bobcats the title on their final day of the season and the Trojans are now locked into the two-seed for the Sun Belt Tournament.

Texas State 1, Coastal Carolina 0
For the first time since joining the Sun Belt Conference, the Texas State soccer team are conference regular season champions following a 1-0 victory at the Bobcat Soccer Complex over Coastal Carolina Sunday afternoon and did so on Senior Day. It is the fifth regular season title for the Bobcats, first since 2009, and the 10th overall conference championship in program history.

TXST concludes the regular season with a 10-5-2 record and went undefeated in the Sun Belt at 8-0-2. The 10-match unbeaten streak is the third longest in program history. It is also the 12th time that the Bobcats have reached double-digit victories in a campaign. Meanwhile, the Chanticleers drop to 7-7-1 overall, 6-3-0 in conference play and will conclude their season with a make-up match on Thursday at home against Arkansas State.

Arkansas State 2, Appalachian State 1 (OT)
Riley Ebenroth scored with 14 seconds to go in regulation and Sarah Sodoma scored in the first overtime period as the Arkansas State women’s soccer team earned a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Appalachian State Sunday afternoon at the A-State Soccer Park.

The Red Wolves (8-6-2, 5-4-0) trailed the Mountaineers by a goal entering the final minute of regulation when Maggie Ertl sent in a corner kick that found the foot of Victoria MacIntosh who turned and fired on goal. The shot attempt was blocked, but resulted in a scrum in front of the net and Ebenroth was able to get a touch on the ball and push it toward the net for the game-tying goal.

Georgia State 2, Louisiana 1 (OT)
Georgia State women’s soccer ended its regular season finale in thrilling fashion as the Panthers defeated Louisiana 2-1 in overtime Sunday afternoon at the Ragin’ Cajun Soccer Complex, getting the game-winning goal from freshman Lexy Smith – her first career goal as a Panther.

GSU improved to 7-9-2 overall and 5-4-1 in the Sun Belt while Louisiana fell to 3-12-3 on the year and 2-7-1 in league play. The Panthers end the year as one of the hottest teams in the conference, as Georgia State will enter the Sun Belt Tournament on a 5-0-1 unbeaten streak.

Troy 2, ULM 0
Troy clinched a spot in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with a 2-0 win over ULM on Sunday.

The Trojans' win coupled with Georgia Southern's loss to Little Rock guaranteed Troy the No. 8 seed. Georgia Southern entered the game needing a win or a draw at Little Rock to force Troy into must-win scenario in its final game of the season at South Alabama on Thursday, but Little Rock scored in the final 10 minutes to take the victory and the three points.
