NEW ORLEANS -
After earning its first-ever Sun Belt Conference regular season championship, Texas State will be the No. 1 seed at the 2018 Sun Belt Women's Soccer Championship at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex in Foley, Ala. which runs from Wednesday, October 31 through Sunday, November 4.

The Bobcats won the regular season title with an undefeated conference record of 8-0-2 (26 points) and will be the tournament's top seed for the first time since joining the league in 2013.

As the top seed, Texas State (10-5-2, 8-0-2 Sun Belt) reserved the right to choose its first round match time. The Bobcats chose the 1 p.m. CT time slot and will take on eighth-seeded Troy (5-13-1, 4-6 Sun Belt) on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Little Rock (12-4-2, 7-2-1 Sun Belt) enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed, having won six of its last seven matches. Little Rock will face Arkansas State (8-7-2, 5-5 Sun Belt) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. CT. With Texas State choosing the 1 p.m. CT time slot, the Trojans were given the option to select their time slot between the 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT matches. Little Rock chose the 4 p.m. CT time slot.

Coastal Carolina (8-7-1, 7-3 Sun Belt) will be the No. 3 seed and will take on No. 6 Georgia State (7-9-2, 5-4-1 Sun Belt) in the final matchup on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT.

Appalachian State (9-8-1, 6-4-0 Sun Belt), enters the tournament as the No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 South Alabama (7-9-1, 5-4-1 Sun Belt) at 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday to kick off the championship.

South Alabama and Georgia State each finished tied with 16 points in the final standings; however, the Jaguars defeated the Panthers, 1-0, earlier this year and therefore earned the higher seed.
