Texas State's Sule Secures Men's Basketball Player of the Week Award

Texas State freshman forward Alonzo Sule had a big week coming off the bench in both of the Bobcats’ wins, averaging 22.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Sule went 19-for-21 (.905) from the field and was 7-of-8 (.875) at the free throw line. He set a career high with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting with five rebounds in the win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Sule set career highs again in the next game against Houston Baptist with his first career double-double – career-high 23 points and career-high 10 rebounds. He made 10-of-11 shots and went 3-for-3 on free throws in the home win over the Huskies. Sule more than doubled his season point total in the two games (45 points) after entering the week with 35 points.
