BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The 2018 Sun Belt Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships are Monday, Feb. 19 and Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.

The championships begin at 9:00 a.m. (CT) on Monday with the combined events, beginning with the heptathlon. Field events begin at Noon (CT) with running events starting at 4:15 p.m. (CT).Tuesday will see the rest of the heptathlon events at 9:00 a.m. (CT) followed by pentathlon at 9:20 a.m. (CT). Field events begin at Noon (CT) with the final running events starting at 1:45 p.m. (CT). The awards presentation is schduled to begin at approximately 4:30 p.m. (CT).

Texas State claimed the women's team title in 2017 with 166 points while UTA earned the men’s team title with 133.5 points.

UTA looks to become the first men’s indoor track & field program to claim back-to-back conference titles since former league member WKU back in 2012 and 2013, while Texas State hopes to repeat on the women’s side. No team has claimed back-to-back titles in women’s indoor track & field since WKU won six straight from 2006-11.
