INDIANAPOLIS – South Alabama junior Alexandria Stiteler and sophomores Loic Cloes and Clement Marzol and UTA junior Guanarteme Nuez were among the individual participants selected to compete in the 2018 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships.
Stiteler will complete in the women’s 64-player singles draw, while Nuez will compete in the men’s 64-player singles draw and Cloes and Marzol will compete in the men’s 32-team doubles draw.
The singles and doubles competition will be conducted May 23-28 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex in Winston-Salem, N.C., after the conclusion of the team championship, which runs from May 17-22.
All matches shall be the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all will be used for all matches. In doubles, a 10-point match tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set.
The Sun Belt’s participants earned automatic qualification into the NCAA Tennis Individual Championships by being ranked in the ITA Top 125 in singles and Top 60 in doubles.
