Arkansas State 3, Central Arkansas 1
JONESBORO, Ark.
– Carlisa May and Macey Putt combined for 41 kills as the Arkansas State volleyball team defeated Central Arkansas 3-1 (25-23, 25-18, 19-25, 25-22) Thursday night at First National Bank Arena to begin the A-State Invitational. May connected on 24 kills in the match on a .300 attacking percentage, while Putt posted 17 of her own to lead the Red Wolves (6-5) to their fourth straight win. Ellie Watkins dished out a season-high 51 assists, while Peyton Uhlenhake added eight kills on a .357 attacking percentage. Defensively, Tatum Ticknor led the Red Wolves with 17 digs, while May added 10 for her team-high fourth double-double. Isabel Theut led A-State with four blocks with Madison Turner adding three.

Appalachian State 3, Furman 1
GREENVILLE, S.C.
– Emma Longley, Victoria Wilform and Kara Spicer each tallied 15 or more kills as Appalachian State volleyball posted a 25-18, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22 win at Furman on Thursday evening. Longley finished with a match-high 17 kills, while Wilform notched a career-high 16 kills and Spicer recorded 15 kills. It marks the first time the Mountaineers (7-4) have had three players register 15 or more kills in a contest since Sept. 9, 2017 against George Washington, when Lexi Kohut (19), Melissa McMath (17) and Spicer (17) all had over 15 kills.
