JaKeenan Gant, Louisiana (Sr., F, Springfield, Ga.)
Louisiana senior forward JaKeenan Gant helped lead the Ragin’ Cajuns to wins over South Alabama and Troy, averaging 24.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.0 assists per game. Gant opened the week with a 28-point, eight-rebound performance in an 88-84 victory over South Alabama. He capped off the week by recording his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in an 86-81 win over Troy. Gant finished 8-for-14 from the floor and 4-for-4 from behind the three-point line, adding three blocks, three assists and a pair of steals, against the Trojans.

Trhae Mitchell, South Alabama (Jr., F, Austell, Ga.)
South Alabama junior forward Trhae Mitchell averaged 27.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in a week that included the Jaguars earning their first road win of the season. Mitchell shot 55.0 percent from the floor, 66.7 percent from three-point land and made all six of his free throw attempts. He recorded a career-high 31 points and added 12 rebounds for his sixth double-double of the season at Louisiana. His 31 points came on 13-of-23 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 from long distance. Mitchell followed that up with a game-high 23 points at ULM, handing the Warhawks their first home loss of the season. He grabbed seven rebounds, shot 9-of-17 from the field and blocked a pair of shots. Mitchell enters the week with 113 career blocks, which ranks fifth all-time in school history.
