Kirk, Victoria Fisher Selected to Lead ULM Women's Tennis

MONROE, La. – ULM Director of Athletics Scott McDonald recently introduced Kirk Fisher as interim head tennis coach and Victoria Fisher as volunteer assistant tennis coach.

"We are really pleased to have Kirk and Tori lead our tennis program," McDonald said. "They have both experienced tennis as Division I student-athletes and continued by providing instruction to athletes in our local tennis community. We look forward to the energy they have brought to the program. We are fortunate to have a very active tennis community, and Kirk and Tori are a big part of that community."

Kirk and Victoria are both Monroe natives. Kirk attended Ouachita Christian School, where he was a standout junior tennis player, winning a pair of state championships with the Eagles and was a high school All-American. He played collegiately at LSU, helping the Tigers claim the 1998 Southeastern Conference championship. He is also a graduate of the ULM School of Pharmacy. Kirk's father, Kirk, played tennis at ULM.

Victoria attended Neville High School, and played tennis at Alabama. She graduated from Alabama with a bachelor's degree in marketing and sales, and co-owns an oil production company in north Louisiana. She is a member and past president of the Monroe Junior Garden Club. She is the tournament director for numerous local tennis tournaments, including Serves for St. Francis, Hitting for Helpers and Love All, a Will Power St. Jude Children's Hospital fundraiser. She trained as a junior at Monroe Athletic Club and served as an assistant pro at the club for 13 years.

The duo play husband-wife open doubles on the court, where they are ranked number one in the south and in the nation. The pair won the National Husband-Wife Hard Court Doubles Open Division in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Kirk and Victoria have two sons, Liam and Holden.
