No. 21/22 Appalachian State 30, South Alabama 3
MOBILE, Ala.
– Ranked and still unbeaten, No. 21 App State didn't let a pregame storm rain on its nationally televised parade. After warming up in a downpour at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, the Mountaineers shut down South Alabama's offense in a 30-3 victory that kept them alone atop the Sun Belt Conference standings. Late in the third quarter, while holding a 23-0 lead on ESPNU, the defense for App State (7-0, 4-0) had allowed just 43 yards on 32 plays from South Alabama (1-7, 0-4).
 
Georgia Southern 41, New Mexico State 7
STATESBORO, Ga.
– Wesley Kennedy III and J.D. King ran for 143 yards apiece – each with two touchdowns – as Georgia Southern jumped out to an early lead and coasted to a 41-7 victory over New Mexico State on Saturday to keep the Aggies winless on the year. Georgia Southern (4-3), rolling past in the Aggies in a non-conference game, has won three straight.

Arkansas State 38, Texas State 14
JONESBORO, Ark.
– Marcel Murray ran 22 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns to help Arkansas State beat Texas State 38-14 on Saturday night. Omar Bayless had seven catches for 77 yards and two scores for the Red Wolves (4-4, 2-2 Sun Belt Conference), who outscored the Bobcats 21-0 in the second half.

Georgia State 52, Troy 33
ATLANTA – Tra Barnett rushed for 242 yards to set Georgia State records for rushing yards in a game, season and career and the Panthers to their fourth straight game and bowl eligibility for the third time in five years with in a 52-33 victory over Troy Saturday night at Georgia State Stadium.
