NEW ORLEANS – The seeds and matchups for the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Championship at Strahan Arena at the University Events Center in San Marcos, Texas, have been determined following the conclusion of the conference's regular season on Sunday afternoon.
 
The championship begins on Thursday, Nov. 21 with two first-round matches at 5 and 7:30 p.m. CT and concludes with the title match on Sunday, Nov. 24. The winners of Thursday's first-round matches advance to the quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 22 at 5 and 7:30 p.m. CT. The winners of Friday's quarterfinals on Saturday at 2:30 and 5 p.m. CT. The semifinal winners meet in a Sunday matinee at 1 p.m. ET.
 
Texas State (22-8, 14-2 Sun Belt) clinched its second-straight Sun Belt regular-season and West Division titles with an impression close to its conference slate. The Bobcats clinched the No. 1 seed their 13th 3-0 sweep of the season in their victory over UTA to cap the regular season. Texas State enters the championship seeking its third Sun Belt Tournament title (2013, 2018).
 
Coastal Carolina (23-5, 13-3) secured the East Division title and No. 2 seed by closing the regular season on a four-match winning streak. The Chanticleers have been the NCAA Division I leaders in service aces per set and team service aces for most of the season.
 
On the strength of winning eight of nine conference matches at home, South Alabama (20-10, 11-5) earned the No. 3 seed. The Jaguars achieved their highest seed since joining the Sun Belt in 2013 and reached the 20-win plateau for the first time since 1989.
 
Troy (21-8, 10-6), back in the conference tournament for the third-straight year, secured the No. 4 seed for its highest seed since being the No. 2 seed for the 2012 championship. The Trojans' 21 wins are tied for the most in a single season this century in school history.
 
Troy earned the top four seed over Louisiana (14-15, 10-6) with its regular-season win over the Ragin' Cajuns. Louisiana enters the championship as league's hottest team on a five-match winning streak.
 
Rounding out this year's eight-team championship bracket are Appalachian State (13-16, 9-7) as the No. 6 seed, UTA (16-12, 8-8) as the No. 7 seed and Arkansas State (16-12, 7-9) as the No. 8 seed.
