Georgia Southern 100, Carver College 70
STATESBORO, Ga.
– Ike Smith made his first four shots of the contest – all three-pointers – and scored a game-high 17 points to lead Georgia Southern to a 100-70 men's basketball victory over Carver College Friday night in Hanner Fieldhouse.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7
Arkansas State 66, Tulsa 63
TULSA, Okla.
– A 15-0 run in the first half helped the Arkansas State men’s basketball team take a lead it never surrendered in a 66-63 road win at Tulsa Saturday in non-conference action at the Reynolds Center.
A-State (7-2) earns its first win over Tulsa (7-2) in the all-time series and it is also the first win over an American Athletic Conference member and snapped the Hurricane 19-game home non-conference game win streak.

UC Santa Barbara 72, UTA 68
ARLINGTON, Texas
– Playing without two starters, already-shorthanded UTA (4-6) battled back from a double-figure second-half deficit to tie the game, but UC Santa Barbara (6-3) ultimately claimed a 72-68 win Saturday at the College Park Center in the Mavericks home non-conference finale.

UTSA 77, Texas State 71
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Junior guard Jhivvan Jackson poured in a season-high 33 points and hit the key shots in a late run to give UTSA (3-6) a 77-71 victory over Texas State (6-4) on Saturday evening at Strahan Arena. It is the Bobcats' first loss at home this season.

Georgia State 73, Mercer 61
MACON, Ga.
– Led by 16 points from both Damon Wilson and Corey Allen, along with stellar first half defense Georgia State earned a 73-61 win over in-state foe Mercer on Saturday afternoon at Hawkins Arena. Georgia State (6-3) pushed its winning streak to five-straight games and defeated Mercer (4-6) for the 18th time in the last 21 matchups. Wilson went 7-of-11 from the floor to go along with five rebounds while Allen matched the senior going 6-of-12 from the floor including three three-pointers. Allen, in his first year playing for the Panthers, scored the 1,000th point of his career.

North Texas 76, Little Rock 53
DENTON, Texas
– North Texas shot lights out from three point range, connecting on 11 of its first 12 attempts, putting Little Rock in an early hole it would never recover from. The Trojans trailed by 20 at the half and dropped a 76-53 decision to their former Sun Belt Conference rivals at the Super Pit.

Coastal Carolina 92, Winthrop 88
ROCK HILL, S.C.
– DeVante Jones tied his career-high with 32 points and Keishawn Brewton added 23 as Coastal Carolina fought back from a 15-point second-half deficit to defeat Winthrop 92-88 on Saturday night in the 83rd meeting between the two programs. Jones was 9-of-15 from the field but was a perfect 12-for-12 at the free throw line. Brewton did his damage with the three-ball, as he hit six three's in eight attempts and hit five free throws for his point total.

Arizona State 77, Louisiana 65
TEMPE, Ariz. – Romello White posted a double-double with a game-high 19 points along with 14 rebounds and Arizona State took advantage of early turnovers and held off the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns, 77-65, in a non-conference men’s basketball game on Saturday at Desert Financial Arena. Rob Edwards added 17 points with Remy Martin chipping in 15 as Arizona State (6-2) used its pressure defense to score 18 points in the first half off 13 turnovers by Louisiana (5-4), which was playing without redshirt freshman Kobe Julien.
