Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Teams
 
NEW ORLEANS – Coastal Carolina junior forward Amidou Bamba and South Alabama junior guard Herb McGee were named to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s Basketball Teams, as selected by CoSIDA.
 
Both Bamba and McGee were on the District 4 first team. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
 
Bamba, sporting a 3.97 grade point average majoring in finance, is averaging 6.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Chanticleers. He has played in all 24 games with 23 starts.
 
McGee, with a 3.39 GPA majoring in biology, is averaging 9.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game for the Jaguars. He has appeared in 24 of 26 games with 18 starts.
