Brittani Reid, South Alabama (Jr., OF, Kansas City, Mo.)
South Alabama junior outfielder Brittani Reid had an outstanding week at the plate, going 9-for-18 (.500) with two doubles, three walks, three steals and seven runs scored from the leadoff position to help the Jaguars to a 4-1 record at the Mardi Gras Invitational. Reid posted a .611 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage in six games played. She began her week by reaching base twice in three plate appearances at No. 1 Florida State. To open the Mardi Gras Invitational, Reid was a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in an 8-0, run-rule victory over Stephen F. Austin. She walked twice against No. 18 Illinois and then went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases in another run-rule win over Hofstra. Reid played a part in both of South Alabama's one-run, seven-inning victories to close out the tournament. She reached on an error and then scored the tying run in the second game against Stephen F. Austin. Reid recorded her third multi-hit performance of the week, going 2-for-4 against Nicholls with one of her hits leading off the bottom of the seventh inning on a single back up the middle. She scored on the next pitch as freshman shortstop Kennedy Cronan delivered a two-run blast to tie the game up at 2-2. Later in the inning, the Jaguars plated the game-winning run on a fielder's choice. Reid was one of three South Alabama players named to the Mardi Gras Invitational All-Tournament Team.

Kaitlin Beasley-Polko, Coastal Carolina (So., P, Leonardtown, Md.)
Coastal Carolina sophomore pitcher Kaitlin Beasley-Polko played a big part in the Chanticleers going 3-1 at the UCF Tournament in Orlando, Fla. Beasley-Polko picked up two wins against Power Five Conference foes Penn State and Pittsburgh. She pitched 12.2 innings, allowing eight hits and one earned run, with a 0.55 earned run average. In the tournament finale against Penn State, Beasley-Polko pitched Coastal Carolina to victory, allowing just two hits in seven innings. Four of her five strikeouts ended the inning for the Nittany Lions. Her gem in the circle allowed the Chanticleers to push the runs needed to earn a 3-1 win.
