Julie Rawls, Louisiana (Jr., C, Hallsville, Texas)
Louisiana junior catcher Julie Rawls started the week with four consecutive games of multiple hits and wound up batting .733 (11-for-15) to lead the charge on offense in an undefeated week for the ranked Ragin' Cajuns. Rawls delivered five extra-base hits (two doubles, three home runs) and produced 10 RBI over a three-game span during her strong performance at the plate. She generated a 1.625 slugging percentage and, by virtue of reaching base at least twice in every game, recorded a .800 on-base percentage. Her week began with a three-hit performance and two runs scored in a 4-1 win over Big 12 foe Baylor. In the midweek matchup at Nicholls, her two-run homer in the sixth inning essentially put the game away doubling the lead to 4-0. Rawls added another three-hit effort, leading to a week-best five RBI in the Troy series opener. A 1-0 game in the third inning, Rawls stemmed the tide in Louisiana's favor with a two-run home run to right field. She added to her series-high RBI total of eight by plating three additional runs in Game 2. Rawls finished the series 6-for-8 (.750) with five runs scored, two home runs and eight RBI against the Trojans.

Summer Ellyson, Louisiana (Jr., P, Lafayette, La.)
Louisiana junior pitcher Summer Ellyson collected all five victories for the Ragin' Cajuns, including all three in a Sun Belt series for the second-straight weekend. Ellyson yielded only two runs total, limited foes to 17 hits and struck out 43 batters over 28.2 innings pitched. Her banner week began with a season-high 17 strikeouts in a win over Big 12 foe Baylor. At one point against the Bears, 15 consecutive outs were recorded by strikeout. She notched three strikeouts every inning from the second through fifth inning. The right-hander reached double-digit strikeouts a second straight outing, tallying 11 in a six-inning shutout effort on Wednesday at Nicholls. She concluded the week holding Troy's offense to a single run, 11 hits and a .186 average over 15-2/3 innings worked in the weekend series.
