– Coastal Carolina renewed its rivalry with former Big South opponent, Winthrop  (13-15). on Wednesday afternoon at St. John Stadium. The Chanticleers picked up a 6-4 come-from-behind victory on Kassidy Smith's walk-off home run.

Appalachian State 5, East Tennessee State 0
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.
– Appalachian State defeated East Tennessee State for the second time this season. This time at ETSU, the Mountaineers put up five runs on seven hits and two errors in the 5-0 shutout of the Buccaneers.

Georgia 5, Georgia Southern 1
ATHENS, Ga.
 – No. 12-ranked Georgia used three home runs to pick up a 5-1 victory over visiting Georgia Southern on Wednesday evening at Jack Turner Stadium in Athens.

South Carolina 7, Georgia State 3
COLUMBIA, S.C.
– Kristin Hawkins knocked three base hits Wednesday, but it was not enough as Georgia State lost 7-3 to No. 16 South Carolina in Columbia.

 – Leanna Johnson dazzled in the circle pitching her fourth shutout of the season to power Troy past North Alabama, 2-0, in a midweek in-state showdown Wednesday afternoon at the Troy Softball Complex.

SAN MARCOS, Texas
– Texas State (16-15, 5-4 Sun Belt) ran its winning streak to six games with a 4-1 triumph over Lamar  (15-19) at Bobcat Softball Stadium on Wednesday night.
