Former Student-Athletes Head to Third Annual NFF Campbell Trophy Summit

National Football Foundation Release

IRVING, Texas – Four former football student-athletes from Sun Belt Conference institutions have accepted invitations to attend the Third Annual Campbell Trophy Summit, sponsored by Intuit Inc., at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif.

Georgia State's Bobby Baker, South Alabama's Harrison Louden and Texas State's Nick Clark and Gabe Loyd are slated to be among the 214 previous nominees for The William V. Campbell Trophy® attending the 2019 event set for August 14-17.

The summit provides a powerful opportunity for the members of the Campbell Trophy community to interact and learn from many of the nation's top entrepreneurs and Silicon Valley CEOs about the lessons that have guided them to the highest levels of success. The event will also include a career expo with more than a dozen companies on site recruiting the attendees. Organized as a tribute to the late Bill Campbell, the award's namesake, the event serves as a vehicle for the many leaders impacted by Campbell to pass on his insights for leadership and personal growth to the next generation.

This year's attendees travel from Finland, Japan, Tanzania, England, Canada, 44 states, and the District of Columbia, representing 136 colleges and universities from all divisions, and their current careers range from doctors, engineers, lawyers, physicists and business and civic leaders. MWF Advisors CEO Mark Flynn, a former linebacker at Saint John's (MN) who was a volunteer coach for an eighth-grade boys-and-girls' flag-football team with Campbell, has played the lead role in organizing the event since its inception in 2017.
