NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference participated in the College Football Playoff (CFP) Foundation's unveiling of the Media Center Makeover for KIPP Central City Primary on Thursday morning in downtown New Orleans.
The makeover focused on primary work areas for the media center, including new computer stations, tables, chairs, and comfortable seating areas for reading and studying. The CFP Foundation’s education partners helped make the makeover possible – School Specialty provided furniture and related installations, while Veative USA invested in virtual reality headsets and content.
The Media Room Makeover, powered by the Sun Belt and with support from the New Orleans College Football Championship Host Committee (NOFCHC), is valued at $50,000.
"We are really excited to partner with the CFP and the Sugar Bowl to help support teachers and students," said Sun Belt Commissioner Keith Gill. "This media center is unbelievable. Thinking about what it looked like before the renovation and all that has been invested by the CFP Foundation and the Sun Belt Conference is wonderful to see."
