Sun Belt Conference Announces Cross Country Weekly Honors

WOMEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK:
Carolien Millenaar, South Alabama
(Senior, Sørvad, Denmark)
 
For the third time in as many races, South Alabama’s Carolien Millenaar set a new personal best. Her time of 20:53.87 placed second in the 6k Gold race at the Blazer Classic. She has led the Jaguars in all three races this season, placing either first or second. In addition to setting a new 6k personal best, Millenaar’s second-place finish marked the 12th time in 17 career races that she has finished in the top 15.

MEN'S RUNNER OF THE WEEK:
Cole Klashinsky, UT Arlington
(Senior, Flower Mound, Texas)
 
Klashinsky led UTA at the very competitive Texas A&M Arturo Barrios Invitational with the best 8k time (24:20.8) in the Sun Belt Conference so far this year. Klashinsky finished in the top-10 at the 2k and 5.6k splits en route to helping the Mavericks finish ahead of Big 12 members Baylor, Texas Tech and TCU.
