Madison Brown registered another standout weekend for Arkansas State with her third 20-kill outing of the season in Saturday's sweep. The senior totaled 37 kills, and hit at a .295 clip over the two matches. She added a pair of aces while also playing strong defense with 14 digs (9 on Friday) and six blocks.

Defensive Player of the Week

In Arkansas State's two wins over in-state rival Little Rock, Tatum Ticknor led the Red Wolves in digs with 43 total (6.14 per set), including a match-leading 23 in Saturday's sweep against the Trojans. The redshirt junior libero also contributed offensively with a pair of aces and six assists in the two matches. Ticknor currently ranks third in the conference in digs per set (5.61).

Setter of the Week
Emily DeWalt, Texas State

Junior setter Emily DeWalt averaged 12 assists per set, 3.17 digs per set, and added eight kills and one ace against UT Arlington. In the first match, the junior from Texas logged her 11th double-double of the season with 37 assists and 11 digs. DeWalt also registered five kills on seven errorless swings (.714) and had two blocks, including one solo. She ended the weekend with 35 assists, eight digs, and three kills in the final match. DeWalt was picked as the Sun Belt Conference Preseason Setter of the Year and this is her fourth Setter of the Week honor this season.

Freshman Player of the Week
Chamblee Russell, Georgia Southern

Chamblee Russell averaged four kills and three digs per set while hitting .295 as the Eagles split a pair of matches with Georgia State. The freshman tallied 20 kills and 16 digs in the win and 12 kills, eight digs and hit .367 in the loss. This is Russell's second Freshman of the Week honor.
