Texas State senior guard Nijal Pearson averaged 21.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 2.5 steals per game in a 2-0 week that highlighted by a 74-66 victory over Little Rock, the top team in the Sun Belt Conference standings. In that game, Pearson scored 15 points and pulled down six rebounds to go along with six assists and two steals. He followed that performance two days later with 27 points, seven rebounds, three steals and two assists in the victory over Arkansas State. This marks Pearson's sixth Sun Belt Player of the Week honor of his career.
