Troy's Thomas Named Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week

Collegiate Baseball Release

Troy, Ala. – Troy junior pitcher Levi Thomas has been named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week following a career night on the mound, the prominent magazine announced Monday. It marks the 10th time since 2010 a Trojan has received the honor.

Thomas posted a career-high 14 strikeouts in just 5 innings of work during an 18-6 win over Northern Kentucky. He opened the night with seven consecutive strikeouts, the most since Shane McCain fanned six straight against Louisiana in 2011.

His 14 strikeouts rank third nationally and were the most by a Trojan pitcher since 2017. The Cullman, Ala., native improved his career record to 6-1 at home and 11-2 overall.
