Over the past few weeks, D1Baseball.com has analyzed the Top 100 Hitters and Pitchers in collegiate baseball based on a full season of 2019 statistics and four weeks of 2020. To qualify, a hitter must have a minimum of 150 plate appearances in 2019 and 35 in 2020, while pitchers must have a minimum of 100 batters faced in 2019 and 30 in 2020.

Below we take a look at the Sun Belt baseball student-athletes who were named to the list.
PITCHERS
Drake Nightengale, South Alabama (Senior, RHP)
A transfer from Pearl River Community College, Nightengale came in and led the Jaguars with a 6-2 record in 2019 and a 3.52 ERA which ranked fourth overall in the Sun Belt last season. He fanned 91 batters in 71 and two-third innings while starting 12 of 15 games for USA. Nightengale was a three-time Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week in 2019.
In the shortened 2020 season, Nightengale was 3-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 23.1 innings pitched. He allowed just eight runs and struck out 39 in four games started.
David Moffat, UTA (Junior, RHP)
Moffat started 16 games as a sophomore and finished with a 4-4 record. He had one complete game in 2019 and finished with a 4.33 ERA. During the 2020 season, Moffat ranked first with lowest ERA among starting pitchers (0.67) and finished the season without an earned run in 14.1 consecutive innings pitched.
In his career, Moffat holds a 2.91 ERA with 93 strikeouts and a 0.55 WHIP.
Levi Thomas, Troy (Junior, RHP)
Thomas made 15 starts for the Trojans in 2019, posting an 8-2 record. He pitched 80.2 innings and recorded 87 strikeouts while holding opposing hitters to just a .254 average. Thomas was 2-1 during the shortened 2020 season, starting four games for the Trojans. He ranked tenth overall in the NCAA with 42 strikeouts when the season was canceled and had a 0.39 ERA. Opponents were hitting just 0.177 against him in his 23 innings pitched in 2020.
HITTERS
Andrew Beesley, ULM (Senior, UTIL)
Beelsey was an All-Sun Belt Second Team Utility Player in 2019. The Natchez, Miss., native hit 329 on the season with 11 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 38 runs scored, 37 RBIs and 28 walks to 23 strikeouts last season. Beesley played the role of a true utility player in 2019, making starts at designated hitter, first base and left field. He was one of two Warhawks to start all 58 games.
In 2020, the senior was off to another rousing start with 18 hits in 45 at-bats for a .400 average in 14 games started. He had one home run, a triple and four doubles while driving in 15 for the then 12-5 Warhawks.
Ethan Wilson, South Alabama (Sophomore, OF)
The 2020 Sun Belt Conference Preseason Player of the Year, Wilson was named the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, as well as First-Team All-Sun Belt as an outfielder. He was the only NCAA Division I freshman to be named conference player of the year last season. He was also named the 2019 Co-National Freshman of the Year by Collegiate Baseball.
He was the first freshman in conference history to be named the Sun Belt Player of the Year, and was the first to earn the award since Jordan Patterson in 2013. Wilson finished his freshman campaign ranked second in the conference in slugging percentage (.686) and total bases (151), tied for second in home runs (17), tied for third in runs scored (59), sixth in batting average (.345) and on-base percentage (.453), tied for eighth in hits (76), ninth in RBIs (51) and tied for ninth in doubles (16).
Will Hollis, Texas State (Senior, OF)
In his two years with the Bobcats, Hollis hit .325 (87-for-268) with eight home runs, 59 RBI and 52 runs scored. He also recorded a team-high 24 doubles along with two triples. The McKinney, Texas native posted a .444 on-base percentage having drawn 51 walks and been hit by a pitch nine times.
John Wuthrich, Texas State (Junior, OF)
Over the past two seasons, Wuthrich recorded a .314 (69-for-220) batting average with 12 home runs, 52 RBI and 60 runs scored. The junior also hit 16 doubles and four triples for a .577 slugging percentage. He was drew 31 free passes and plunked eight times for a .412 on-base percentage.
Rigsby Mosley, Troy (Junior, OF)
Mosley batted .356 in 2019 en route to being crowned the 2019 Sun Belt batting champion and was always an extra-base threat with 28 of his 79 hits going for extra bases, including 19 doubles, the fifth most in the league. Mosley finished last season with a hit in 14 of the final 15 games before hitting safely in the first 11 games of the 2020 season.
The Maitland, Fla., native was hitting at a .351 clip and scored a team-best 20 runs before the season was abruptly halted. Ten of Mosley's 26 hits went for extra bases, highlighted by a grand slam in the Saturday contest at No. 1 Florida. The junior notched seven doubles in just 17 games, which tied for second in the Sun Belt and was the 34th-most in the country.
