Arkansas State women and men swept the 2020 championships, marking the first time the Red Wolves won both championships since 1998. The A-State women tallied 138 points over the course of the two-day Championship to win their fifth overall title, while the men totaled 146 points to claim its eighth title.
This year, A-State looks to first among active Sun Belt Conference members to sweep the championships in consecutive years. Middle Tennessee State University is the only program to have both its men and women repeat titles in the same year, sweeping the championships four-straight years: 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004.
Similar to two years ago, the Red Wolves will look to become the first men’s indoor track & field program to claim back-to-back conference titles since former league member WKU back in 2012 and 2013. For the women, Texas State was the last to win back-to-back titles, with a three-peat in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
