NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference announced its weekly baseball honors on Tuesday.

Baseball Pitcher of the Week:
Spencer Arrighetti, Louisiana
(#32, So, RHP - Katy, Texas)

In his first career start for Louisiana, Spencer Arrighetti tossed 6.1 innings of one-hit baseball against Louisiana Tech, a team that was hitting .329 on the year. Arrighetti also picked up a save in his second appearance of the week against Rice, sealing a 5-3 win for the Cajuns. Arrighetti is now leading the Sun Belt in ERA (0.00), tied for sixth in strikeouts (13) and is allowing opposing batters to hit only .037 against him.
 
Baseball Player of the Week:
Nick Lucky, Coastal Carolina
(#6, Jr, INF/OF - Denver, Pa.)
 
Lucky led the Chants to a 4-0 week. As the lead-off hitter, he hit .400 (8-for-20) with two home runs, one of which was a grand slam, five RBIs, and five runs scored. He posted a .700 slugging percentage and a .429 on-base percentage over the four-game stretch. Lucky scored a run in all four games for the Chants and extended his hitting streak to seven-straight games. He has hit safely in every game this season. After scoring one run in the 4-1 12-inning win over No. 16 Wake Forest, Lucky went 7-for-14 with two home runs, five RBIs, and four runs scored in the weekend sweep of the CCU Baseball Tournament with wins over Bryant, #23 West Virginia, and Kennesaw State. Lucky played three different positions during the week - left field, right field and designated hitter. The junior leads the 5-2 Chants in hitting (.382), home runs (3), total bases (22), hits (12), runs scored (10), and is second in RBIs (7).
