NEW ORLEANS – Earning three straight-set singles victories for their respective teams, Georgia State's Vazha Shubladze and Georgia Southern's Nadja Meier received Sun Belt weekly honors.
Men’s Tennis Player of the Week
Vazha Shubladze, Georgia State

Vazha Shubladze earned three straight-set singles victories, as the Panthers defeated a trio of opponents this week. The junior started the week with a win over 100th-ranked Bastien Huon in Georgia State's Sun Belt opener against Coastal Carolina. The 2019 Sun Belt Newcomer of the Year edged out his opposition on the top court to clinch the GSU victory. The following day Shubladze would strike first in singles play after helping the Panthers earn the doubles point.
Women’s Tennis Player of the Week
Nadja Meier, Georgia Southern

Nadja Meier helped the Eagles to a perfect 3-0 week as the sophomore went 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles in her six matches. Meier took all three of her singles contests in straight sets, including two against Sun Belt opponents. The Potsdam, Germany native partnered with Paula Boixader to help the Eagles earn doubles points against Mercer and Coastal Carolina.
