NEW ORLEANS – After closing out their respective regular seasons with victories, South Alabama’s JoJo Booker and Coastal Carolina’s Eric Brown claimed the final Sun Belt weekly awards, presented by GEICO, of the 2021 season. 
 
Baseball Pitcher of the Week
JoJo Booker, South Alabama
(Jr., RHP – Brewton, Ala.)
 
Jaguars junior right-handed pitcher JoJo Booker tossed his first career complete game in Saturday’s 13-3 seven-inning, run-rule victory over App State. The Brewton, Ala., product struck out nine batters, without conceding a walk in the regular-season finale. Booker allowed three runs on four hits, while running his record to 7-0 on the season for the Sun Belt East Division champion Jaguars. 

Baseball Player of the Week
Eric Brown, Coastal Carolina
(So., IF – Bossier City, La.)  
 
Chanticleer sophomore infielder Eric Brown hit .667 (10-for-15) with eight RBIs, seven runs scored, a double and a pair of home runs on the week. The Bossier City, La., native slugged 1.133 and posted a .737 on-base percentage as Coastal Carolina put up double-digit runs in 3-of-4 victories, including a series sweep of Texas State. Brown, who did not strike out once over 15 at-bats, established a single-game career-high with four base hits on two occasions this week.
