NEW ORLEANS – Kentucky’s Kevin Larsson and Marshall’s Eddie DeMarco named Sun Belt men’s soccer offensive and defensive players of the week.

Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Kevin Larsson, Kentucky

In the Wildcats 2-1 win over No. 20 Georgia Southern on Wednesday, Larsson scored the first two goals of his Kentucky career, while registering his fifth multi-goal performance of the season. On Sunday, Larsson assisted on the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute to push the Wildcats past the No. 10 ranked Mountaineers.

Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Eddie DeMarco, Marshall
(R-Jr. | GK | Monroe, N.J.)

DeMarco registered a pair of clean sheets in a 4-0 win over South Carolina on Wednesday and in 0-0 draw on the road at Old Dominion on Sunday, marking his fourth consecutive shutout.

The redshirt junior recorded one save against the Gamecocks, before making four crucial stops to keep the Monarchs off the board.
