Four Sun Belt Men's Soccer Teams Earn NCAA Tournament Bids

NEW ORLEANS – Marshall, UCF, Kentucky, West Virginia earn spots in the 2025 NCAA men’s soccer tournament.

This is the second time the Sun Belt has had four selections in the tournament, with the last being 2023 when five teams were selected.

The 48-team field is made up of champions from 22 conferences, who earned automatic bids, in addition to 26 teams that were selected at-large.

Marshall, West Virginia and UCF earned the opportunity to host the opening round, while Kentucky will open on the road.

UCF earned the leagues auto bid after defeating Marshall 3-1 in the Sun Belt men’s soccer championship. They will host the American Conference Champion FAU in the opening round at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday. The winner would face No. 7 Georgetown in the second round.

Marshall will participate in its seventh consecutive NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament. The Herd hosts Cleveland State on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. ET. The winner would face No. 15 NC State in the second round.

West Virginia is set to host St. Johns at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium in Morgantown at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday. The winner would face No. 10 High Point on November 23.

The Sun Belt’s regular season champions, Kentucky will go on the road to Saint Louis. The match is set for 8 p.m. ET. The winner will face No. 6 Indiana on November 23.
