Arkansas State to Face Baylor in First Round of NCAA Volleyball Championship

NEW ORLEANS – A week after claiming its seventh Sun Belt Conference Volleyball Championship, the Arkansas State volleyball team learned it will face No. 6 seed Baylor in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Volleyball Championship at Holloway Gymnasium in West Lafeyette, Ind. on Thursday, December 4 at 3:30 p.m. CT.
 
The Red Wolves (22-8) will be making their fifth overall appearance in the tournament, and first since 2015 after earning the Sun Belt’s automatic bid with a 3-1 victory over James Madison in the conference’s championship match last Sunday evening in Foley, Ala.
 
Baylor (17-9) earned an at-large spot from the Big 12 conference and will be making its 13th appearance at the championships. Overall, the Bears are 17-13 at the tournament.
 
The winner between the Red Wolves and the Bears will advance to face the winner between the region’s No. 3 seed Purdue (24-6) from the Big Ten and Horizon League Champion Wright State (21-10).
 
The First Round and Second Round matches will take place on campus, as well the Quarterfinal matchups on December 11 and 13 or December 12 and 14. The semifinals will be inside the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Mo. On December 18 with the National Championship being hosted inside the same venue on Sunday, December 21.
