NEW ORLEANS – Georgia State fourth-year forward Aaliyah Faddoul and Georgia Southern fourth-year goalkeeper Quinn Wilson have earned the first Sun Belt Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors of the 2026 season.
Faddoul earns the fourth Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week accolade of her career and first since Sept. 16, 2025, while Wilson becomes Georgia Southern’s first Defensive Player of the Week honoree since Claire Casey on September 10, 2024.
Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
Aaliyah Faddoul, Georgia State
(4th Yr. | F | Ontario, Canada)
A three-time All-Sun Belt First Team selection and 2026 Preseason All-Sun Belt Team pick, Faddoul registered nine points on four goals and one assist for the Panthers. Faddoul opened the season with a goal on a penalty kick and an assist against UAB on Aug. 12 before closing the week with a three-goal effort in just 53 minutes of action in Georgia State’s 7-0 win over Truett McConnell on Aug. 16. Six of her 11 total shots across the two matches were on target.
Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week
Quinn Wilson, Georgia Southern
(4th Yr. | GK | Beaufort, S.C.)
Wilson earned a pair of wins in the Eagles’ 2-0 start to the regular season while making seven saves and posting a 0.50 goals against average. Wilson made two saves in a 2-1 season-opening victory over North Florida on Aug. 12, before making five more stops in a 2-0 shutout win against preseason Atlantic Sun Conference favorite FGCU on Aug. 16.
