POOL PLAY TIEBREAKER
In the case of a tie within the pool, the following tie-breaking protocol will be used to determine the team that advances out of pool play:
TWO TEAMS
- The team with the better Head-to-Head record shall be seeded higher
- If both teams have the same winning percentage in head-to-head championship competition, the team with the better winning percentage of head-to-head sets shall be seeded higher.
- If a tie still exists, the team having the best for/against ratio of points scored in the head-to head championship matches shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the team with the better winning percentage of sets in all championship matches shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the team having the best for/against ratio of points scored in all championship matches shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the winner of a coin toss by the Commissioner shall be declared the advancing team
THREE OR MORE TEAMS
- The team having the best winning percentage when looking at the pool of head-to-head matches between the tied teams shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the team having the best winning percentage of sets between the tied teams shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the team having the best for/against ratio of points scored in the matches between the tied teams shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the team having the best winning percentage of sets in all division matches shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the team having the best for/ against ratio of points scored in all Conference matches shall be declared the higher seed.
- If a tie still exists, the winner of a coin toss by the Commissioner shall be declared the higher seed.
- In all ties of three or more teams, the progression of the tie-breaker shall be followed until the team that advances amongst the tied is determined.
