Lady Raider volleyball players Caia Morstad and Dara McClean each moved into semi-final action, with their perspective teams, Wednesday at the 2001 Canada Games.
Morstads Saskatchewan team advanced with a 21-14, 22-20 win over the Newfoundland team in beach volleyball action and will await their draw in semi-final action on Thursday. She posted nine kills, one block and one ace in the win.
Later in the day at the indoor volleyball venue, McClean and her team from Manitoba defeated Prince Edward Island 25-20, 25-10, 25-10. She contributed six kills, two digs, two blocks and one ace to the win.
Meanwhile, back in Murfreesboro, the rest of the Lady Raider volleyball team is hard at work in the gym preparing for the beginning of the 2001 season. McClean and Morstad are scheduled to re-join the team on Sunday.
