Cowboys Hold Off Cajuns

LAKE CHARLES, La. – The McNeese State Cowboys closed out the first half on a 17-4 run and never surrendered the lead, knocking off the UL Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns 80-70 on Saturday at Burton Coliseum.

The Cajuns got as close as two points with 13 minutes to play in the second half, but the Cowboys answered with an 11-1 run and had another answer each time UL got close the rest of the way in denying the Cajuns their first win in Lake Charles since 2004.
