Baton Rouge native one of 39 quarterbacks on national list

FORT WORTH, Texas – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns senior quarterback Terrance Broadway was one of 39 players named on Wednesday to the 2014 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award Watch List in an announcement made by the Davey O'Brien Foundation.

In helping lead UL Lafayette to a 9-4 record, the Sun Belt Conference championship and a third straight victory in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl, Broadway threw for 2,149 yards and 19 touchdowns while finishing third on the team with 442 yards rushing and eight TDs. Broadway led the Sun Belt Conference in passing efficiency on the season and was fourth in total offense and fifth in passing average.

He returned to action two weeks later against Tulane in the New Orleans Bowl, completing 12 of 19 passes for 143 yards in a 24-21 victory before a bowl-record crowd of 54,728.

The field will be narrowed to 16 semifinalists on Monday, Nov. 3. The Foundation and the Selection Committee will announce three finalists on Monday, Nov. 24. The 2014 Davey O'Brien winner will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards on Thursday, Dec. 11.

Broadway and the Cajuns will officially open the season on Aug. 30 against Southern University at Cajun Field.
