Little Rock holds off UL Lafayette 68-64
LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) Josh Hagins scored 12 of his 18 points in the second half, and Little Rock maintained sole possession of first place in the Sun Belt Conference with a 68-64 win over UL Lafayette on Saturday night.
Little Rock led 61-48 with 4:25 left, but Steven Wronkoski hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a 16-4 run that pulled the Ragin' Cajuns within one at 65-64.
The Trojans hit two free throws to make it a three-point game, and Hayward Register's 3-point attempt with 2 seconds left missed the mark.
Hagins was 7 of 11 from the field and hit all three of his 3-point attempts for Little Rock (22-3, 12-2), which bounced back after its six-game winning streak snapped with an 86-82 loss to UL Monroe on Thursday.
Johnathan Stove was 10 for 10 at the free-throw line and had 18 points for UL Lafayette (14-9, 10-4). Shawn Long added 12 points and 12 rebounds.

UL Monroe downs Arkansas State 78-73 in overtime
MONROE, La. (AP) Majok Deng scored 27 points with five 3-pointers, Justin Roberson added 21, including five in overtime, and UL Monroe beat Arkansas State 78-73 on Saturday to win its third straight game.
Arkansas State's Devin Carter hit a jumper, but Roberson and Nick Coppola each made layups and Deng hit two free throws for a 73-69 Warhawks' lead. Frederic Dure scored a layup and the Red Wolves trailed 73-71 with 48 seconds left.
Jamaal Samuel hit a jumper and Roberson added three free throws to ice it.
Samuel scored 13 points and the Warhawks (13-12, 9-5 Sun Belt) made 14 of 36 from long distance and had six turnovers.
Roberson tied it at 67 with 1:08 left in regulation and the teams combined to miss seven field goals and two free throws before time expired.
Anthony Livingston led Arkansas State (11-14, 7-7) with 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

South Alabama holds off Georgia Southern late, wins 80-76
MOBILE, Ala. (AP) Georgi Boyanov and Shaq Calhoun each scored 20 points and Boyanov and Ken Williams each converted a pair of free throws in the final 29 seconds to lift South Alabama to an 80-76 Sun Belt victory over Georgia Southern Saturday.
The Jaguars have now won four of their last six games after snapping a six-game losing streak and snapped a four-game Georgia Southern win streak.
Boyanov and Williams each hit layups in the final minute of the first half, sending South Alabama into intermission with a 35-27 advantage and Boyanov hit a jumper to start the second half to push the lead to 10 points, 37-27.
Calhoun hit 4 of 6 from three-point range and Boyanov grabbed nine rebounds to help pace the Jaguars (10-14, 5-8). Williams added 15 points and distributed seven assists.
Jake Allsmiller hit 8 of 15 from long range to score 29 points for Georgia Southern (11-12, 7-6).

Walton's late layup lifts Troy over Georgia State 54-53
TROY, Ala. (AP) John Walton III's layup with 10 seconds remaining lifted Troy over Georgia State 54-53 on Saturday.
Troy's Wesley Person gathered a turnover by Georgia State under the Panthers' basket. Falling out of bounds, Person found Walton in the lane, and Walton spun and put it up with the left hand off the glass for the go-ahead bucket. On the previous possession, Person had drilled a 3-pointer to draw the Trojans within one. Those were Troy's only field goals in the last 8:50 of the game.
Georgia State missed two shots on its last possession.
Walton finished with 16 points and eight rebounds to lead Troy (8-17, 3-11 Sun Belt). Person ended with 14 points and Shawn Hopkins added 11.
Jeremy Hollowell scored 22 points to pace Georgia State (13-10, 6-8). Markus Crider had 13 points and 13 rebounds. The Panthers made just 2 of 12 from beyond the arc.

UT Arlington coasts to 91-60 win over Appalachian State
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) Jalen Jones sank four 3-pointers and scored 18 points to lead UT Arlington to a 91-60 win over Appalachian State on Saturday night.
Erick Neal added 11 points while dishing out seven assists for UT-Arlington (17-7, 8-5 Sun Belt Conference) and Kaelon Wilson had 10 points. The Mavericks shot 55 percent from the field (37-67) to win their third straight and remain a half game out of third place behind Louisiana Monroe.
Appalachian State (6-19, 4-10) opened the game with a bucket from Ronshad Shabazz to take its only lead. UT Arlington then scored 14 of the next 17 points and carried a 49-21 lead into the break, marking its largest halftime advantage of the season.
The Mavericks led by at least 20 the rest of the way.
Griffin Kinney paced Appalachian State with 15 points and Emarius Logan had 12. The Mountaineers were held to 30 percent shooting from the field.
