MONROE, La. – The ULM volleyball team earned a much-needed conference win on Thursday night (Oct. 18) against Sun Belt opponent Georgia State. The Warhawks jumped out to a 2-0 match lead before the Panthers claimed a set three win, but ULM stood strong to defeat Georgia State in the final set, 25-22.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19
Appalachian State 3, Coastal Carolina 0
BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State volleyball moved into first place in the Sun Belt East Division with a 25-19, 25-22, 25-14 sweep of Coastal Carolina on Friday evening inside the Holmes Center. App State (14-7, 6-3 Sun Belt) entered the contest sitting a half game behind the Chanticleers (6-10, 5-3 Sun Belt).

Louisiana 3, Georgia State 1
LAFAYETTE, La. – Behind a dominant start and finish the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball team topped Georgia State in four sets (25-13, 23-25, 26-24, 25-15) on Friday at Earl K. Long Gym.?

ULM 3, Georgia Southern 1
MONROE, La. – Fant-Ewing was alive with the sound of cheers on Friday night, when the ULM volleyball team defeated its second-straight Sun Belt opponent with a 3-1 win over Georgia Southern. The Warhawks advance to 9-14 overall with a 2-8 mark in league play.

Texas State 3, South Alabama 1
MOBILE, Ala. – The Texas State volleyball team secured a 3-1 (25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 25-15) triumph over South Alabama in a Sun Belt Conference match Friday night inside Jaguar Gym. The Bobcats (19-5, 10-0 Sun Belt) remained perfect in league play and earned their 14th-straight victory. The winning streak is the longest since 2004 for the maroon and gold. South Alabama fell to 10-12 on the year and 4-5 in the conference.

UTA 3, Troy 0
TROY, Ala. – The UT Arlington volleyball team picked up a third consecutive sweep and extended their winning streak to four matches, with a 25-17, 25-19, 25-16 win at Troy on Friday night (Oct. 19). With the win, the Mavericks improve to 13-7 overall and 7-3 in Sun Belt action, while the Trojans fall to 10-12 on the season and 4-5 in league play.
