ATLANTA – Georgia State men’s soccer suffered a 3-0 defeat to Stetson Tuesday night at the GSU Soccer Complex. The Panthers failed to net a goal for the second consecutive match and fell to 6-4-1 overall while Stetson improved to 5-6-1 on the season.

Louisville 1, Georgia Southern 0
LOUISVILLE, Ky.
 – No. 11-ranked Louisville converted a first-half penalty kick to edge visiting Georgia Southern, 1-0, in non-conference men's soccer action on Tuesday evening at Lynn Stadium in Louisville. The Cardinals improve to 7-2-2 overall with the victory, while Georgia Southern falls to 5-5-1. 

Howard 1, Rutgers 0 (F/2OT)
PISCATAWAY, N.J.
– In double overtime, Coach Phillip Gyau and the Howard University Men's Soccer team secured their second win of the season by taking down Big Ten foe Rutgers, 1-0, at Yurcak Field. After 100 minutes, both squads were held scoreless. At the 106-minute mark, a ball ricocheted from Rutger's  keeper Rafael Pereira where sophomore defender Matteo Turner(Hamilton, Bermuda) capitalized with his first collegiate goal and sent the Bison home victorious.

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10
UAB 1, Appalachian State 0
BIRMINGHAM, Ala.
 – Appalachian State University men's soccer (6-2-2) fell to UAB (4-6-2) in a tight-knit affair, 1-0, on Wednesday evening in Birmingham, Ala. at BBVA Compass Field. The Mountaineers and Blazers played an even match where both teams had the same number of shot attempts (8) and shots on goal (6). However, the only difference was UAB's goal by Adam Brooker in the 87th minute that gave UAB the eventual win.
