2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s Soccer Teams
 
NEW ORLEANS – Sun Belt men’s soccer boasted seven student-athletes on the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men’s Soccer Teams, as selected by CoSIDA.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
 
Appalachian State senior goalkeeper Jake Chasteen was named to the District 3 first team, while Coastal Carolina sophomore midfielder Carlos Becerra, junior forward Tyrone Mondi and junior defender Henrik Mueller, Georgia Southern senior midfielder/forward Javier Carbonell, Georgia State junior defender Kyle Clinton and senior defender Lukas Joyner were named to the District 4 first team.
 
Chasteen and Carbonell were selected Sun Belt Co-Players of the Year, Carbonell was also tabbed Co-Offensive Player of the Year and Clinton was named Defensive Player of the Year for the second-straight year. That trio along with Mueller were named All-Sun Belt first team, while Mondi was named to the second team.
