SAN MARCOS, Texas – Junior Nijal Pearson scored a game-high 19 points to move up to 21st on the Texas State men's basketball scoring list Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats (2-1) fell in a battle to Drake (2-1) 75-69 in the Knapp Center.

Coastal Carolina 78, UNC Asheville 52
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.  – Coastal Carolina had five players reach double digits and the Chants defense held UNC Asheville to 33 percent shooting in defeating the Bulldogs 78-52 in the team's second game of the KEMI Northern Kentucky Basketball Classic. With the win, Head Coach Cliff Ellis picks up his 750th NCAA Division I win. He continues to be the only coach in the nation to have won at least 170 games with four division I programs.

Georgia Southern 88, Pepperdine 78
NASSAU, Bahamas – Tookie Brown tallied 21 points and five assists, and Georgia Southern shot 59 percent in an 88-78 comeback victory over Pepperdine Saturday night in the Islands of the Bahamas Showcase semifinals in Kendal Isaacs National Gymnasium. 

Jacksonville 71, South Alabama 48
MOBILE, Ala. – Jacksonville jumped out to a big early lead and held the University of South Alabama men's basketball team to 24.7 percent shooting in a 71-48 win Saturday night at the Mitchell Center.
